Sagging runs, leaking seams and overflowing corners fixed, or replaced when repair no longer makes sense.
36 years in the roofing trade

Most gutter problems are small to begin with. A hanger works loose, a corner seam dries out, a downspout clogs at the elbow. Left alone, they turn into overflowing water down the siding, stained and rotting fascia, soil washed out beside the foundation and, in winter, ice damage.
The first step is finding which problem you actually have. A gutter that overflows in a downpour may be clogged, may have lost its slope or may simply be too small for the roof. Those need three different fixes, and cleaning the gutter only addresses one of them.
We repair what can be repaired: re-hanging and re-sloping runs, re-sealing joints, replacing damaged sections and downspouts and fixing the fascia behind. When a run is too far gone, we say so and replace it, usually with seamless gutters.
We check the slope, hangers, joints, downspouts and fascia to see why the gutter is failing.
You hear whether the gutter can be repaired or needs replacing, and what each choice involves.
Loose hangers are replaced or added, and rotted fascia behind the gutter is repaired.
The run is adjusted so water flows to the downspout, and leaking joints, corners and end caps are sealed.
Downspouts are cleared, secured and directed so the water ends up away from the foundation.
Repair costs depend on how much is wrong, and these are the factors:
Gutter problems often turn out to be roof-edge problems, and a roofer is the right person to look at both. Otto's 36 years on roofs mean a gutter problem gets traced to its real cause.
We do not push replacement when a repair will do. If your gutters can be saved, we say so. If not, we explain why and give you a free quote.
We repair gutters in Pierce City and across Southwest Missouri. See our Pierce City roofing page and Joplin roofing page.
Usually because the gutter has lost its slope and water pools instead of flowing to the downspout, a downspout is clogged below ground or at the elbow, or the gutter is too small for the roof. Cleaning alone does not fix any of those.
Often they can be re-hung with new hangers and re-sloped. If the metal is bent, rusted through or the fascia behind it is rotted, repair is only a temporary measure, and replacing the run is the better answer.
Sealant dries out and cracks with heat and cold, and joints open as the gutter moves. Re-sealing corners and end caps can solve it, but if joints keep failing, a seamless replacement removes most of them.
It has to be repaired before the gutter goes back up, because the gutter needs something solid to attach to. Rotted fascia is common where gutters have been overflowing, and fixing it is part of a proper repair.
Ice and snow load can pull weak hangers loose and bend the gutter, especially if water freezes inside it. Re-securing the gutter with stronger hangers, and fixing the slope so it drains, helps.
