Worn or damaged siding removed and replaced so your walls shed water as well as the new roof does.
36 years in the roofing trade

Siding is the skin of a house. When it cracks, warps, rots or pulls loose, rain and wind get behind it, and the water that gets in rarely shows until the wall behind it is soft. A siding replacement is a chance not only to fix the look but to find and fix what is happening in the wall.
In small-town Southwest Missouri, a lot of houses have older siding that has been patched, painted over and patched again, sometimes in three different materials on the same wall. Replacing it all at once tidies the look and, more importantly, gives the house a continuous weather barrier again.
We start by taking the old siding off and checking what is under it. Damaged sheathing is replaced, the wall is wrapped and flashed, and then the new siding goes up, with careful work at corners, windows, doors and the point where the siding meets the roof.
We inspect the existing siding, trim and any signs of moisture, and discuss materials and colors with you.
Panels and trim come off, exposing the sheathing so we can check it.
Any wet, rotted or damaged sheathing is cut out and replaced before anything goes over it.
House wrap and flashing are installed around windows, doors and wall-roof joints so water has a path out.
New siding, corners and trim go on, and the site is cleaned up when the job is done.
Siding jobs depend on the house and the product, and here is what moves the price:
Roofers and siding installers work at the same high-risk joints, where wall meets roof. After 36 years in roofing, Otto knows how water finds its way in at those joints, and we build the flashing accordingly.
We tell you what we find behind the old siding and fix it, because siding over rotten sheathing is a repair you only want to do once.
We install siding for homes in Pierce City, Monett and the surrounding area. See our Pierce City roofing page and Monett roofing page.
The old siding comes off, and we look at the sheathing and framing behind it. Wet or rotted sheathing has to be replaced before new siding goes on, because siding over damaged wall only hides the problem. House wrap or another weather barrier is then installed, followed by the new siding.
Sometimes, but it hides what is behind the old layer and can trap moisture. Removing the old siding is usually the better choice because it lets us check and repair the wall. We will tell you what we recommend after we look at the house.
It depends on the size of the house, the number of walls, how much sheathing repair is needed and the weather. A smaller house may take days, and a large or complicated one longer. We give you a timeline with the quote.
Yes. Those are where siding jobs succeed or fail. Corners, window and door trim, soffits and the joint between siding and roof all need to be flashed and sealed so water cannot get behind the new siding.
Yes, and it often makes sense. The crew can flash the roof-to-wall joints properly as one job, and you only have to deal with one set-up and one clean-up.
