Leaks, lifted shingles and failed flashing fixed at the source, not just covered up.
36 years in the roofing trade

A good roof repair starts by finding where the water is really getting in. Most leaks come from a small number of spots: a flashing joint that has dried out and opened, a shingle blown loose in the wind, a nail that has backed out, a pipe boot cracked by the sun. The job is finding the one that is letting water in and fixing it so it stays fixed.
In a region with spring thunderstorms and summer heat, those small failures show up regularly. Wind lifts the edge of a shingle, the seal never reseals, and rain gets underneath for months before a stain appears on the ceiling. By then the damage has spread from the shingle to the underlayment, the deck and sometimes the insulation.
Repairing early is the cheapest way to protect the roof. A repair that takes an afternoon today can prevent a wet attic and a ceiling replacement later, and it often buys years before a full replacement is needed.
We inspect the roof surface and, when we can, the attic, tracing water to the opening, not just the stain.
You get a plain-language description of the cause and the repair, including whether anything else on the roof looks worn.
If water is coming in, we seal or cover the opening first so the house is protected.
Damaged shingles, underlayment, flashing or boots are replaced and sealed correctly, matching the existing roofing as closely as we can.
Repairs range from a quick fix to a few hours of rebuilding, and the price depends on:
Repairs are where experience matters most, because the job is a diagnosis. Otto has 36 years of tracing leaks on every kind of roof, and he would rather fix a small problem correctly than sell a big one.
If a repair is not the right answer, we will say so and explain why. If it is, we do it properly and tell you what else on the roof to keep an eye on.
We repair roofs in Pierce City and across Lawrence County and beyond. See our Pierce City roofing page and Southwest Missouri roofing page.
Not always where the stain is. Water travels along rafters and decking before it drips, so the ceiling spot can be several feet from the hole. Common sources are flashing around chimneys, vents and walls, valleys, and damaged or lifted shingles. We trace the leak instead of patching at the stain.
Emergency tarping and temporary sealing can be done in bad weather, but a lasting repair needs dry roofing. We will make the roof watertight first, then come back for the permanent repair when it clears.
If the rest of the roof is in decent shape and the damage is limited, a repair will hold. If shingles across the roof are brittle, curling or worn through, a repair is likely to be followed by another one. We tell you plainly which case you are in.
Yes. Replacing a handful of damaged or lifted shingles is one of the most common repairs, and it is worth doing early, before water gets into the deck and insulation.
Shingle lines get discontinued and colors fade, so a perfect match is not always possible. We use the closest available shingle and tell you what to expect. A small mismatch in one area is better than a leak.
