36 years in the roofing trade

A roof installation is the job where a roof is built from nothing: onto the framing of a new house, a home addition, a new garage or a pole barn. There are no old layers to tear off and no hidden damage to uncover, which makes it the cleanest kind of roofing job, and the one where the details are completely under your control.
New construction in Southwest Missouri comes in every size, from a rural build on a few acres to an addition on a small-town house. The roof is usually one of the first things to go on, because a dry building lets every other trade work without weather delays.
Because the roof will be there for decades, the installation matters more than the material. A flat, solid deck, underlayment laid correctly, flashing built into the walls and penetrations as they go in, and fasteners placed where the manufacturer specifies are what make a new roof last.
We check the roof framing, pitch and deck against the plans, and flag anything that would affect the roof.
We confirm the roofing material, color and accessories, and schedule delivery so the roof goes on when the building is ready.
Underlayment goes on first, followed by drip edge and the extra protection at valleys and eaves.
Shingles or metal panels go on, working up from the eave, with flashing built in at walls, vents and chimneys.
Ridge, vents and trim are completed, the site is cleaned and we go over the roof with you or the builder.
New-construction roofs are priced on the roof itself, and these are the main drivers:
A new roof is a long-term investment in the building, and the crew that installs it should understand how it works as a system. Otto has been building roofs for 36 years, from ranch houses to farm buildings to commercial roofs, and he cares about flashing and ventilation as much as the shingles.
Four crews also help when schedules are tight. If you are working around a builder or a deadline, we can plan the roof so it goes on when the building is ready.
We install new roofs across Pierce City, Monett and the surrounding country. See our Pierce City roofing page and Monett roofing page.
Replacement removes an existing roof and puts a new one on. Installation is for roofs that do not exist yet: new construction, an addition, a garage or an outbuilding, where the roof goes onto fresh framing and a new deck.
As soon as the framing and the roof deck are done and inspected. Getting the building dried in protects the framing and everything inside from weather while the rest of the work continues.
Yes. We roof houses, additions and detached buildings like garages and barns, with asphalt shingle or metal depending on the building and your budget.
Underlayment is the water-resistant layer between the deck and the finished roofing. It is the backup if wind drives water under the shingles or panels, and on a new roof it is installed over a bare deck with no old layers to hide it, which is the best time to do it right.
Yes. Tell us who is running the project and we will work out timing with them, so the roof goes on after the framing and deck are ready and before the interior work needs a dry building.
